Terms and Conditions
The terms on which you use this website and book accommodation, meals or activities at the Albota Trout Farm Tourist Complex. Last updated: September 2026.
1. Who we are
The Albota Trout Farm Tourist Complex is operated by SOBIS Solutions SRL, Trade Register number J32/348/1999, VAT/tax ID RO12018818, correspondence address Calea Dumbrăvii 99A, 550399 Sibiu, Romania. The complex is located at Arpașu de Sus no. 505, 557016, Sibiu County.
You can reach us by phone at +40 743 321 015 (reception, daily 08:00 – 22:00) or by email at office@albota.sobis.ro.
2. What these terms cover
The terms below apply to the use of this website and to bookings made by phone, by email or through the contact form. By sending a booking request you confirm that you have read and accept these terms.
The information on this site — descriptions, photographs, programmes — is presented in good faith and updated regularly. It does not constitute a binding offer until your booking has been confirmed in writing.
3. The services we offer
Accommodation in rooms and holiday cabins, a restaurant with our own trout farm, camping, rooms for events and conferences, and outdoor activities within the grounds of the complex. The availability of each service depends on the season and is confirmed when you book.
4. Bookings and confirmation
Bookings are made by phone or by email. We confirm availability, the rate and the applicable conditions for your dates in writing — usually the same day.
A booking becomes firm only after our written confirmation. Places are held in the order in which confirmations are issued. The form on this site sends an availability request, not a confirmed booking.
To book we need your name, contact details, the dates of your stay and the number of guests. This data is used solely for the booking and for statutory record-keeping — the details are in our Privacy Statement (GDPR).
5. Rates and payment
Our rates are in Romanian lei, include VAT and the local tax, and apply per room, per night. Standard rates do not apply during holiday periods — Easter, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and public holidays — for which we offer dedicated packages with their own rates and conditions.
Payment is made at reception, in cash or by card. We also accept holiday vouchers and holiday cards from Sodexo, Edenred and Up România for tourism packages; any difference can be settled in cash or by card. Please tell us when booking if you intend to pay with vouchers, so that we can prepare the paperwork.
Holiday packages are held definitively once a deposit has been paid, with proof of payment sent by email.
6. Cancellations and changes
For standard bookings, cancellation conditions are communicated with the written confirmation and vary according to the period, the length of the stay and the number of rooms. Call us before booking if you need firm cancellation terms in writing.
Holiday packages have their own, stricter cancellation and payment deadlines, because they involve organising several days. The deadlines in force, with exact dates, are on the Booking & Cancellation page — that page prevails for packages.
If legal restrictions beyond our control prevent us from holding the event or restrict your travel, all amounts paid in advance are refunded in full.
7. Arrival and departure
Check-in from 15:00 — earlier if we have rooms free. Check-out by 12:00 at the latest. If you arrive after 23:30, please call 0743 321 015 in advance so that we can check you in.
On arrival, reception records guests’ identity details, as required by Romanian rules on the registration of tourists.
8. House rules
Bringing food or drink from outside the Tourist Complex is not permitted.
Outdoor activities on the grounds — fishing, walks, the sledging slope, the play and sports areas — are undertaken at your own risk, following the instructions of our staff and the rules displayed on site. Children must remain supervised by their companions at all times.
Please keep noise down in the accommodation areas and treat the facilities with care. Specific conditions for groups and events are agreed when the booking is confirmed.
9. Right of withdrawal
Under Article 16 (l) of Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014, the 14-day right of withdrawal provided for distance contracts does not apply to accommodation, transport, vehicle rental, catering or leisure services contracted for a specific date or period. Cancellations are therefore governed by the conditions communicated with your booking confirmation and, for packages, by the deadlines in section 6.
10. Liability
Liability for property brought onto the premises by guests is governed by Articles 2103 – 2107 of the Romanian Civil Code, on hotel deposits. For valuables, please ask at reception what storage options are available.
Damage caused to the complex’s facilities is borne in accordance with the law, on the basis of a record made together with reception.
We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to force majeure or fortuitous events — extreme weather, utility outages, restrictions imposed by the authorities. In such cases we inform you as soon as possible and look for a solution together: rescheduling or a refund of the amounts paid.
11. Website content
The texts, photographs, video material and graphic elements on this site belong to SOBIS Solutions SRL or are used under licence. They may be reproduced only with our written consent, except for short quotations with attribution and a link to the original page.
This site may contain links to external pages. We are not responsible for the content or the policies of third-party sites.
12. Personal data and cookies
How we process personal data is described in our Privacy Statement (GDPR). Which cookies we use, why, and how to change your choice is set out in our Cookie Policy.
13. Complaints and dispute resolution
If something was not right, write to us at office@albota.sobis.ro or call +40 743 321 015. We respond to every complaint and try to resolve it directly, as quickly as we can.
If we cannot reach a solution, you may contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection — anpc.ro — or use the alternative dispute resolution platform at reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.
14. Applicable law
These terms and the relationship between us are governed by Romanian law. Any disputes are settled by the courts having jurisdiction at the company’s registered office, unless the law provides otherwise in favour of the consumer.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when our services or the legislation change. The version in force is the one published on this page, and the date of the last update is shown at the top. Bookings already confirmed are governed by the terms in force on the date of confirmation.
